To provide professional leadership and to facilitate a culture which engenders high standards and reflective learning.
Undertake supervision responsibility for a team of staff, ensuring appropriate deployment and support of staff.
To provide skilled general care and advice to patients within the prison.
To work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team assessing the health needs of patients; to provide and evaluate care given and implement changes as required.
To be able to work autonomously, as well as part of the wider team, delivering health care to a standard equivalent to that found within the wider community.
To provide holistic care in a unique environment based on a primary care model that encourages patient engagement with an often socially excluded group.
