A forward-thinking GP practice in Rochester is looking for a motivated and experienced Paramedic to join their multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered clinical services and carry out home visits, manage chronic disease, and respond to urgent care demands. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or BSc in Paramedic Science, be a registered Paramedic, and possess strong clinical skills. This position involves working primarily on Wednesdays for 7.5 hours.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Paramedic to join our multidisciplinary team within a forward‑thinking GP practice. Shift Pattern***
Wednesday only 0900-1700 (7.5 hours)
Contract 7.5 hours
Conduct home visits and contribute to care for housebound and frail patients.
Support chronic disease management in collaboration with GPs and nurses.
Administer medications, including prescribing where qualified.
Work within national and local clinical guidelines and protocols.
Contribute to emergency response situations and support same‑day care demand.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and records.
Participate in clinical audits, meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
Highparks Medical Practice is based across four villages serving just over 15000 patients. We have a large clinical team and a friendly team environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:Clinical:
Provide autonomous clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions.
Undertake minor illness clinics and acute care sessions.
Respond to urgent, same‑day appointment requests, including triage and prioritisation.
Carry out home visits, including assessments of frail or housebound patients.
Support chronic disease management (e.g., asthma, COPD, hypertension) under supervision or as part of a team.
Administer and prescribe medications within your scope of practice (if qualified).
Manage clinical risk and refer patients appropriately to secondary care, community services, or GPs.
Participate in emergency or urgent medical response within the practice as required.
