Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is seeking a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor in Sunderland. This hybrid role leverages frontline clinical expertise in a non-clinical reporting capacity, balancing home and assessment-centre work.

You will perform PIP assessments, analyse medical evidence and deliver high-quality reports. Applicants must be registered professionals with UK clinical experience, strong communication, and proficiency with digital systems.

Qualifications

• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions.
• Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with digital systems and typing.
• Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles.
• Ability to produce high-quality written clinical reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct face and telephone PIP assessments with empathy and professionalism.

Are you an NMC‑

registered Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist ready for a change from frontline clinical work, but keen to continue using your expertise?

As a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor at Medacs Healthcare, you'll complete Personal Independence Payment (PIP) functional assessments to understand how health conditions affect everyday life. This is a non‑

on clinical role centred on clinical reasoning, analysis and report writing.

The hybrid working model combines home working with time at one of our assessment centres, offering predictable hours, long‑

term stability and a healthier work-life balance.

What you'll do

What we're looking for

• Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist
• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions
• Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed)
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
• Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles
• Confidence in producing high‑
• quality written clinical reports
