Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is seeking a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor (Nurse, Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist) for a hybrid role. The position involves non-clinical work centred on clinical reasoning, analysis and report writing, with a mix of home and assessment centre days.

You will complete PIP functional assessments, analyse evidence, and produce detailed written reports while adhering to quality frameworks and receiving ongoing training and clinical support.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered Nurse or HCPC-registered professional (Nurse, Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist)
• Minimum 1 year UK clinical experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
• Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles
• Ability to produce high-quality written clinical reports

Are you an NMC-registered Nurse or HCPC-registered Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist ready for a change from frontline clinical work, but keen to continue using your expertise?

As a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor at Medacs Healthcare, you'll complete Personal Independence Payment (PIP) functional assessments to understand how health conditions affect everyday life. This is a non-clinical role centred on clinical reasoning, analysis and report writing.

The hybrid working model combines home working with time at one of our assessment centres, offering predictable hours, long-term stability and a healthier work-life balance.

What you'll do

What we're looking for

• Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist
• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions
• Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed)
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
• Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles
• Confidence in producing high-quality written clinical reports
