Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a part time Paramedic to join our Primary Care team at HMP Featherstone a category C Prison located in Wolverhampton.

HMP Featherstone is a male prison with a population of 678 males. This is a training prison with a layout of 7 wings. As a Paramedic you will be covering any patient incidents throughout the prison and also be working out of the Healthcare department.

Hours
  • 30 hours per week Monday - Sunday service
  • 3 x 12 hour shifts - days to be agreed
  • 7am - 8pm
Salary

This position is part time. You will receive an annual salary of £36,615.35 per annum FTE, which will be pro rata to £35,150.74 depending on experience.

Candidate requirements

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide outstanding evidence based case to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them – focussing on emergency and unplanned care to patients with both primary care and acute care needs.
  • Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
  • Playing an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient’s care following our policies, procedures and always considering safeguarding.
