Our client has a new vacancy for a Paralegal to join their busy Private Client team. This is a great opportunity for applicants who have experience working in Private Client, or those who have a genuine desire to work in Private Client. The ideal candidate will be supporting our Private Client Solicitors and should be approachable, flexible, confident, and accurate. The position will allow you to develop your legal skills and knowledge within an experienced team, working on a range of responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • To take initial instructions from clients and open files through the Office Management System.
  • To assist the fee earners with client cases from initial instruction to completion under supervision.
  • Liaise with clients both in office meetings and in telephone discussions.
  • Receiving and issuing correspondence/mail from/to clients and third parties.
  • Checking and working in accordance with task list and diary reminders.
  • Time recording all work undertaken.
  • Travelling with fee earners/solicitors to attend outside appointments as and when necessary.
  • Reporting to and receiving and acting upon instruction from the head of department and to assist the department when necessary.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Adherence to Quality and Work Management Systems.
  • Flexibility in support of other members of staff.
  • To be able to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work in a friendly professional team environment.
  • Presentable with excellent telephone manner.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, show flexibility and prioritise workloads in a calm and consistent manner.
  • You will also draft Wills, Powers of Attorney and other documentation.
  • Excellent client facing skills – working with clients on a daily basis, via telephone, email and face to face.
