Job summary

A leading legal support firm in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced employment paralegal with at least 1.5-2 years of recent employment law experience. This role requires someone who can manage their own caseload unsupervised and has a good knowledge of Employment Law. Strong communication, IT, and organizational skills are essential for success in this position.

Job description

Our client is looking for an experienced employment paralegal with at least 1.5-2 years of experience with hands‑on recent employment law experience. Someone with experience of exposure to both claimant and respondent employment work. They need someone who requires minimal supervision and can handle their own case load.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / SKILLS:
  • Ability to liaise with clients and other stakeholders as required by the team.
  • A good knowledge of Employment Law.
  • Professional Legal Qualification (Law Degree/Paralegal/CILEX) – desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to draft correspondence and manage own caseload unsupervised.
  • Good proof-reading skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and marketing skills with the ability to develop contacts for the team and firm.
  • Intermediate to advanced IT and online systems ability (Microsoft Office, legal industry specific document management systems, online portals/datarooms etc.)
  • Commercial, practical and financial awareness.
  • Able to work collaboratively and fit into a friendly but busy team.
  • Excellent organisational ability with a friendly but professional attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Confidently manage accounts and money laundering responsibilities associated with client files.

Please note, the client is not looking to explore training contracts. This is a pure paralegal role.
