Service care solitions are working with the Eljamel inquiry who are looking for an organised and detail-oriented Paralegal ready to make a difference in a high-profile public inquiry? We are seeking Paralegalto join a dedicated legal team based in central Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity to support significant work with a national impact, working within a reputable inquiry team handling complex evidence and legal processes.

Job Details
  • Job Title: Paralegal - Eljamel Inquiry
  • Contract Length: 23 months
  • Contract Type: Contract
  • Location: Central Edinburgh (hybrid working available)
  • Salary: £38,421 per year, LTD day rate: £200.44 PAYE (Inc) £171.14
  • Start Date: ASAP for 2 individuals, with 3 additional positions over the next three months
Candidate Responsibilities
  • Managing the sharing of highly sensitive information and material to and from witnesses in accordance with agreed procedures
  • Using sound judgement to undertake assessments of relevance of recovered evidence in line with Inquiry policies and protocols.
  • Responsibility for implementing redaction processes to tight legally set timeframes, including application of complex redaction for disclosure of evidence in line with Inquiry policies and protocols.
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders, such as Recognised Legal Representatives
  • Assistance with preparation for hearings of the Inquiry, including preliminary hearing(s) and evidential hearings.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Previous Paralegal experience or an undergraduate degree in law or a relevant field
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle high volumes of documentation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
