Job summary

Barbon Group Ltd. is seeking a diligent paralegal to manage a portfolio of landlord-related matters, drafting notices, claims and court bundles while liaising with clients and agents. You will support senior paralegals in defended litigation and ensure timely, accurate delivery of documents.

The role emphasizes customer service, attention to detail, and proficient use of MS Office, within a collaborative environment of a leading UK insurance intermediary group.

Responsibilities

• Draft and serve possession notices on tenants renting in England and Wales.
• Draft claim forms and particulars of claim for possession and debt matters.
• Sending them to court for issue.
• Prepare bundles for court hearings, liaising with your client and the agent attending court to ensure they have everything they need.
• Support the Senior Paralegals with the handling of defended litigation, by liaising with clients and their policy holders as to the prospects of success in a case, or the risks associated with it.

Legal for Lettings are a law firm that entered the market with a sole purpose of providing straight forward, fuss free, and competitively priced legal services to landlord and their letting agents. The firm is a wholly owned subsidiary of the UK’s largest tenant referencing provider in the private rented sector; Barbon Insurance Group, and a member of a fast-growing international insurance group PIB Group. Our team of experienced legal professionals specialise in resolving disputes between landlord and their tenants and providing innovative and affordable legal services. You will be responsible for your own portfolio of clients ensuring they receive a market leading service with the customer at the heart of everything you do. You will be helping landlords and their letting agents obtain possession of their rental properties and recover any money outstanding from their tenants.

What you’ll be doing:
