Job description

Role Purpose

The Paralegal will provide high-quality legal and administrative support to the Legal team across a broad range of commercial, regulatory, and operational matters. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment and is keen to build legal experience within elite sport.

Main Duties

Provide pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice and support to the business under the supervision of the Senior Legal Counsel, which may include the following tasks:

• Assist with the drafting review, and negotiation of a broad range of contracts, including supply of goods and services, SaaS agreements, consultancy contracts, nondisclosure agreements (NDAs), and more.
• Ensure compliance with UK, EU, and international regulations, including the legal frameworks governing the motorsport and automotive industries.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., procurement, finance, and technical departments) to ensure contracts meet both legal and operational requirements.
• Support the full contract lifecycle, from initial drafting through execution, amendments, renewals, and termination.
• Assist in developing and implementing best practices for contract templates and playbooks, ensuring the latter remain up-to-date with changes in law and business needs.
• Support in providing advice on contractual obligations, liabilities, and rights to ensure that all risks are appropriately managed.
• Maintain accurate contract records in Legal's document management system, ensuring timely updates and document accuracy.
• Help maintain policies, procedures, and compliance registers.
• Conduct legal research to ensure contracts and legal documentation are aligned with the latest regulatory developments and best practices.
• Provide training to internal teams (e.g., procurement, sales) on contract management processes, legal obligations, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Support the legal team with dispute resolution, advising on appropriate strategies to mitigate legal and business risks.
• Assist with Formula 1 / FIA regulatory matters and internal compliance processes.
• Support data protection and privacy compliance activities (e.g. DPIAs and DSARs).
• Assist in managing trademark portfolio and support brand protection activities.
• Act as business continuity plan coordinator.
• Support ad hoc company secretarial activities.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience Level:

• Previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in a commercial or corporate environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of discretion and professionalism.
• Strong knowledge of UK and EU contract law, with an ability to apply this in a commercial setting.
• Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with data protection law, technology, intellectual property rights, and supply chain management.

Preferred:

• Experience in the motorsport or automotive industries (or another highly regulated environment) or exposure to sport, media, technology or engineering.
• Law degree or equivalent legal qualification (or currently studying).
