A leading legal recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join a successful property Legal Firm in Gloucester. This full-time, permanent position involves managing your own caseload of sale and purchase transactions under supervision, updating clients, and coordinating the process. The ideal candidate should possess experience in a law firm environment and prior residential conveyancing exposure. The role offers a competitive starting salary upwards of £26,000 and hybrid working after probation.

Overview

GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with an award‑winning residential property Legal Firm located in Gloucester. We are currently supporting their recruitment for an experienced Paralegal to join their team on a full‑time, permanent contract who will be tasked with handling a variety of sale and purchase transactions, working with a wider team of experts.

This position is Monday – Friday 09:00am – 17:00pm. You will receive a highly competitive salary, upwards of £26,000 based on experience, plus the opportunity for hybrid working following the completion of probation.

We are looking for the successful candidate to show some experience of working within a law firm environment with prior residential conveyancing or wider property exposure. An early 2026 start is on offer.

Paralegal main duties

• Handling your own caseload of sale & purchase files under supervision
• Updating clients and introducers on the progress of matters
• Raising and responding to enquiries, interrogating responses, and providing detailed reports to clients as well as dealing with pre‑exchange and completion issues
• Coordinating the sales, purchase and re‑mortgage process and running a mixed caseload of files with appropriate supervision

Paralegal required skills and experience

• Experience working within a law firm environment with prior residential conveyancing or wider property exposure
• Previous experience working within a service‑driven team environment
• Competence with operating IT systems including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• High level of attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills
