About The Role

We have an opportunity for a Paralegal to join Diamonds legal team on a fixed term basis. This role will support the other members of the team, assisting with the management and administration of contracts and other legal matters arising across Diamond.

Responsibilities Will Include
  • Assisting with drafting, preparing reviewing and managing contractual transactions
  • Monitoring and maintaining the internal and external legal and corporate governance guidance and information for employees and other stakeholders.
  • Conducting legal analysis, preparing briefing notes and contracts summaries
  • Handling incoming enquiries from Diamond employees and external stakeholders, assisting in resolving queries and co‑ordinating contact with other Diamond employees;
About You

Candidates should have a law degree or be degree qualified with a post graduate qualification in the legal field (such as a Legal Practice Course, LLM, Solicitor Qualification Exams or have equivalent experience).

In addition to academic qualifications, candidates are expected to have strong communication skills and prior experience with commercial contract support in a legal environment.

A practical understanding of legal issues in a commercial business and/or scientific setting, along with familiarity with company law, governance and regulatory requirements, is also required.

Experience working in the academic sector or with grant funding is considered desirable.
