Principal Consultant at Tate Recruitment

Our client a well established firm of solicitors specialising in residential property transactions are looking for a motivated Conveyancing Assistant or Paralegal to support our busy property department. You will play a key role in helping clients navigate the conveyancing process, ensuring transactions progress smoothly from instruction to completion.

MUST HAVE CONVEYANCING EXPERIENCE

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist fee-earners with residential property sales and purchases
  • Draft and prepare legal documents including contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements
  • Carry out searches, ID checks, and anti-money laundering procedures
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other third parties
  • Maintain and update case files using our case management system
  • Handle post-completion tasks such as SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications
  • Provide general administrative support including file opening, correspondence, and diary management

Candidate Requirements Essential:

  • Experience in residential conveyancing or legal support
  • Strong typist
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
