Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal to join our Commercial, Development and Investment (CDI) team in Birmingham. In this role, you will support a large and busy team specialising in development schemes, major acquisitions, and lettings for both landlords and tenants, with a particular focus on helping to manage complex, large-scale development projects. The team is made up of senior lawyers, junior fee earners, and paralegals who work collaboratively across a diverse range of clients and matters, offering an excellent environment to develop your skills and gain exposure to high-quality work.

We're looking for someone who will ideally have a law degree and/or LPC and demonstrates some experience working in a legal environment, with any exposure to the Real Estate sector being beneficial, though not essential. To succeed in this role, you will bring an understanding of the procedural elements involved in commercial property transactions, gained either through practical legal work or academic training. Strong relationship‑building skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a wider team are essential. We are looking for someone who is highly organised, with strong case‑management abilities, which extend to accurate and detailed note‑taking and excellent attention to detail. The successful candidate will be proactive, enthusiastic, and able to work confidently within a large team while also using their own initiative when needed. They must be capable of building strong client relationships, demonstrate solid IT skills, and remain calm and effective under pressure.

The opportunity to work for a firm that has been recognised as one of best places to work in the UK and has been ranked by Great Place to Work® for 26 consecutive years. Excellent benefits, including:

  • A hybrid approach to office and remote working.
  • 25 days annual leave, with the option to buy up to a week's extra annual leave.
  • Private medical insurance, and the option to add family members.
  • A generous pension allowance.
  • Life assurance covering four times your annual salary.
  • The chance of a three‑month sabbatical every five years.
  • Maternity, paternity and adoption leave schemes.
  • A range of health and wellbeing programmes.
  • State of the art offices, with an onsite restaurant.
  • Opportunities to flourish in your role through training and personal development.
