Electrical Installation Engineer

Location: Hinckley
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 + Overtime (Sat 1.3x / Sun 1.5x)
Hours: 37.5 hrs, Days 8:30-4:00 (flexi)
Holidays: 23 days + bank holidays
Benefits: Pool vans, Pension (3/5%), Flexi-time, Minimal weekend work

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Installation Engineer to join our team working with major customers across the automotive, aerospace, and logistics sectors. This role involves installing, wiring, and commissioning automated machinery and control systems both in-house and on customer sites across the UK. You must be confident working independently - this is a role where you'll be expected to hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install control panels and associated equipment
  • Install mains, 24V DC, and communication cabling
  • Install cable containment systems
  • Wire motors, sensors, and remote I/O nodes
  • Carry out terminations of field cables into control panels
  • Work with PLC, CNC, or PC-based control systems, AC servo drives, and inverter motor controllers
  • Travel across the UK as required (overnight stays may be necessary)
Experience & Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar electrical installation role
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and safety regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
  • Experience with automated machinery, panel building, and installation
  • NVQ / HNC preferred
