Job summary

Steer Automotive Group is seeking a skilled Panel Technician to join our team in a busy accident repair environment. You will carry out structural and cosmetic panel repairs to manufacturer specifications, using MIG/MAG welding and the latest repair methods to ensure high-quality workmanship.

You should have proven experience in a panel technician role within a bodyshop or accident repair setting, with excellent attention to detail and a strong team ethic.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a panel technician in a bodyshop or accident repair environment.
  • Proficiency in MIG/MAG welding and panel repair techniques.
  • ATA accreditation or equivalent qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out structural and cosmetic panel repairs on a wide range of vehicles.
  • Replacing, repairing, and aligning panels to manufacturer specifications.
  • Using the latest repair methods, tools, and equipment to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Working to defined productivity and quality targets while maintaining safety standards.
  • Supporting your team and contributing to a positive, respectful workshop culture.
