Job summary

Apple Inc. in the United Kingdom is seeking an extraordinary Panel Design Engineer to design, develop and launch TFT panel technologies for Apple devices.

You will lead architecture, modeling and validation of TFT pixels and on-glass IC design, collaborating across Display and EE teams to push display performance. With hands-on experience in OLED/LCD display development, you will work from concept to mass production, travel internationally as needed, and help drive state-of-the-art display

As part of our Display Technologies group you’ll help ensure our products’ displays work beautifully through the successful design fabrication and implementation of components in Apple devices. From initial concept to mass production you’ll develop highly innovative displays for the full line of Apple products including Apple Watch iPhone iPad and Mac. Together you’ll collaborate with multifunctional teams across Apple to make each interaction a magical experience to see and touch.

Our team is looking for an extraordinary Thin Film Transistor (TFT) panel design engineer to design develop and launch the next display technologies for the displays in Apple products. Our TFT panel design team is responsible for delivering the sophisticated TFT panel designs and technologies to enable the world’s best display performance in Apple Products. You will serve as a focal point in architecting and developing the total TFT pixel and panel designs. This includes display panel modeling simulation integrated circuit-on-glass design panel architecture and whole panel function simulation!

Key Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in-depth technical knowledge and proven track record in the design and development for display (OLED LCD) or related electronics.
• Ability to perform circuit layout parasitic RC extraction circuit modeling and SPICE simulation
• Understanding the basic TFT and panel process
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
• The following experience in display touch is a plus
• Experience in measuring and characterizing IV and CV of TFT devices
• Experience in developing designing and manufacturing mass volume display
• Experience in characterizing panel optical and electrical performance
• Experience in gate column driver IC and other display electronics designs

Education & Experience

• B.S. degree minimum in Electrical Engineering plus 3 years TFT or industry experience.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.

The base pay range for this role is between $138900 and $256500 and your base pay will depend on your skills qualifications experience and location.
