Elmleigh is seeking a skilled Control Panel Builder to assemble and wire electrical control panels for industrial and commercial sectors. You will work from schematic diagrams, layouts, and technical drawings to deliver high-quality electrical systems in line with project specifications.

Responsibilities include wiring PLCs and components, preparing enclosures, routing cables, and ensuring clean, accurate installations while adhering to health and safety standards.

Formación

• NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical Services or equivalent apprenticeship.
• ECS Gold Card - Wireman/Panel Builder (Desirable)
• SSSTS (Desirable)

Responsabilidades

• Build and wire electrical control panels from schematic diagrams, layouts, and technical drawings.
• Interpret electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring schedules accurately.
• Assemble components including PLCs, relays, contactors, terminal blocks, VFDs, and instrumentation.
• Prepare enclosures, including cutting, drilling, and punching holes for components and cable glands.
• Route and terminate cables and wires neatly, ensuring correct stripping, crimping, and ferrule application.
• Label all components, cables, and wires correctly to ensure clarity for installation and future maintenance.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members and engineers to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and strictly follow all health and safety protocols.
• Complete job documentation
• Undertake specialist training as required and keep up to date with statutory and legislative requirements
• Demonstrate and apply the principles of continuous improvement to achieve ‘Best Practice’
