Job summary

Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) seeks a Ward Manager for St Johns Hospice in Doncaster. This senior nursing post leads a patient-focused team delivering compassionate, safe care within a specialist palliative service.

You will oversee clinical governance, staff development and service improvement, working with an experienced multidisciplinary team to enhance patient experience and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Post-registration experience in palliative/end-of-life care.
• Experience in an inpatient ward setting.
• Leadership or management at Band 6 level or above.
• Experience with teaching and training multi-professional groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, managerial and robust clinical leadership for a ward.
• Promote risk assessment and manage within budget constraints.
• Support multidisciplinary integration and delegate duties in the manager's absence.
• Ensure respectful care preserving privacy and dignity for all.
