Palace Host Sales – Kensington Palace (Seasonal)

Our client is the independent charity that loves and looks after six of the most wonderful palaces in the world. The palaces are the setting for the stories that shape us all, and they’re bringing them to people in ways that mean more to them. They want everyone to find themselves in the spaces and stories they share.

• Home Palace: Kensington Palace
• Status: Temporary/Seasonal
• Salary: PR11.3 £13.85 per hour (equates to £27,908 per annum pro rata for full time roles at 38.75 hrs/week)
• Days/Hours of work: Full‑time and part‑time roles available (2‑5 days/wk), all including weekend and bank holiday working.

About the role and about you

Seasonal contracts available for 9th March 2026 – 13th September 2026 and 9th March 2026 – 8th November 2026. The 2026 exhibition at Kensington Palace focuses on the Last Princesses of Punjab and celebrates the story of Sophia Duleep Singh and five women who shaped her extraordinary life. For the first time, Queen Victoria’s childhood home of Kensington Palace will offer an intimate look into six lives shaped by Empire.

As a Palace Host (Sales) at Kensington Palace every moment is an opportunity to make someone’s day. Working as part of a team you will be responsible for providing the highest level of customer service and creating memorable customer experiences for all visitors in order to generate the money to grow their impact and care for their palaces.

• Your main role will be to support the delivery of on‑site sales targets and KPIs, including retail sales, admissions sales, membership sales and ticket scanning.
• You will also ensure the retail and admissions areas are presented to the expected standards and that all published ticketing and cash handling procedures are adhered to.
• As a Palace Host (Sales) you will undertake cross‑role working as and when required to support the Palace Host Guides and Palace Hosts in the running of the palace and the visitor experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service and working as part of a team, with a strong drive for achieving sales targets. You will have a positive and flexible approach, being able to adapt your style and respond to visitor needs.

The full season at Kensington Palace runs 9th March 2026 – 8th November 2026, but shorter duration contracts are available (9th March 2026 – 13th September 2026). They can be flexible if you have other commitments at the start or end of the season.
