  • Deliver practical, workshop-based learning in accordance with health & safety procedures.
  • Support learners working towards vocational qualifications or industry-recognised certificates.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet a range of abilities and learning needs.
  • Monitor and record learner progress, achievements, and attendance.
  • Work collaboratively with Academics, prison staff, and other education providers.
  • Maintain a safe, organised workshop environment and follow prison security guidelines.

About the Role

Academics is recruiting a skilled and motivated Painting & Decorating Tutor to deliver vocational training within a prison education setting in Rochester. This is a rewarding opportunity to support adult learners in developing practical trade skills that can improve their employment prospects on release.

You will deliver structured, hands‑on training sessions covering painting, decorating, surface preparation, wallpapering, and related techniques. Learners may be working towards accredited qualifications or developing essential employability skills.
