Job summary

A plant hire company in Northampton is seeking a Painter / Maintenance Operative for a temporary role. You will carry out basic remedial work on machinery, ensuring they are presentable for rental. Painter / Maintenance Operative

Manpower are recruiting for a painter to work for a plant hire company based in Wellingborough. Our client hires plant machinery to the construction industry. Your role will be to carry out basic remedial work to ensure the machines are presentable by sanding parts down once it has been returned from the customer and repainting where necessary using standard equipment so it is ready to be hired to the next customer.

Main Responsibilities
  • You will strip, sand, prime and re-paint machinery/equipment and carry out minor maintenance checks as and when machinery comes back in from customer use.
  • Work efficiently to minimise downtime on equipment and machinery.
  • Ensure work is carried to a high standard.
  • All health and safety regulations are upheld on the workshop floor.
Experience Required
  • Painter/ Labourer experience is desirable but not required for this role.
  • Able to take on initiative and work well independently and within a team.
  • Punctual.
  • Willing and open minded, mindset.

This role is a temporary contract currently supporting with projects until the end of the year. Working hours are Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm. Pay rate is £12.50. Role is due to start as of 16th September.
