Job summary

Thorn Baker Construction is seeking an experienced Painter and Decorator for a site-based role in Wales (CF36). You will perform general painting and decorating duties to a high professional standard, ensuring neat finishes and protection of surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate will have CSCS (if required by site), own tools and PPE, and a proven ability to work independently, reliably and to schedule. Start times and two-week rotation apply on site.

Responsibilities

Job description

PAINTER & DECORATOR REQUIRED – WALES, CF36

We are currently looking for an experienced Painter and Decorator for a site based in Wales.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out general painting and decorating duties, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard with a professional finish.

Duties will include:

• Preparing surfaces before painting, including filling, sanding and making good.
• Applying paint and emulsion to walls and ceilings.
• Painting woodwork, doors and other surfaces as required.
• Ensuring a neat, consistent and professional finish.
• Protecting surrounding areas and surfaces during painting work.
• Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment.
• Following site health and safety procedures.

Working Pattern:

• Start on site at 7:30am.
• Every other Monday will have a later start.
• Every other Friday will be a non-working day.
• Work follows a two-week rotation on site.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Painter and Decorator.
• Ability to work independently and to a high standard.
• Valid CSCS card if required by the site.
• Appropriate tools and PPE.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
