Overview

We\'re seeking a dedicated Painter and Decorator to join our team at HMP Forest Bank on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. In this role, you\'ll play a crucial part in maintaining and improving the infrastructure of the prison. You will ensure all decorating is carried out in a timely manner. Working within a prison means that your work directly contributes to the safety and operational efficiency of the facility and therefore a key aspect of the role is ensuring compliance with safety code and regulation.

The Responsibilities
  • Carry out all reactive decorating and planned decorating projects as directed in order to ensure that operational support is provided to the establishment at all times.
  • To ensure that all works are undertaken in a safe manner in accordance with good practice and current legislation.
  • Be familiar with, and adhere to, tool management procedures as laid down in the Local Security Strategy.
  • To undertake project work as directed by the Technical Facilities Manager.
  • Supervise prisoner working parties, where applicable.
  • All work to be carried out to the relevant trade standards.
