  • Safely operate cranes and material-handling equipment.

What's on offer for the Painter:

Pay up to £14.51 per hour
Weekly pay up to £580 per week!!!

Shift: 40 hours per week. 6am - 2:30pm

My client is a well established, industry leading steelwork fabricating company based in North Yorkshire. With year‑on‑year success and further growth plans for 2026, the company offers a range of services from design and manufacturing to installation. This has given the company opportunities to service a multitude of sectors with a diverse client base stretching across the UK.

Main Duties:
  • Apply paint and protective coatings to structural steel and related components to meet project specifications and quality standards.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine coating requirements and procedures.
  • Prepare steel surfaces by cleaning, sandblasting, grinding, and applying chemical treatments to ensure proper coating adhesion.
  • Operate spray guns, brushes, rollers, and other application tools to efficiently apply coatings to various steel surfaces.
  • Mix, tint, and match paints and coatings to achieve accurate colour consistency and compatibility with existing finishes.
  • Monitor, clean, and maintain painting and sandblasting equipment, including performing routine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental regulations associated with coating operations.
  • Safely operate overhead cranes and material‑handling equipment to move and position steel components for preparation and coating.
