Job summary

Group 1 Automotive is seeking a Paint Technician for our bodyshop. You will prepare, prime and paint repaired areas to high standards while maintaining colours and finishes to manufacturers' specs.

You will work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to timescales. A Full UK Driving Licence is essential, and experience in the motor industry is required.

Qualifications

  • Full UK Driving Licence is required.
  • Experience in automotive bodyshop painting is essential.
  • Ability to meet timescales with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and prime bodywork to manufacturers' specifications.
  • Mix and colour-match, paint repaired areas to a high standard, and polish.
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to drive loyalty and referrals.
  • Keep a clean, well-organised workspace and administration.

Job description

  • Preparing and priming bodywork to manufacturers' specifications
  • Mixing and colour-matching, painting all repaired areas to a high standard, and polishing as appropriate
  • Maintaining thorough and up-to-date product knowledge
  • Maintaining exceptionally high customer service levels that lead to customer loyalty and referrals
  • Maintaining good housekeeping standards and orderly administration of your work
