Overview

Spray Painter - Full Time

Location: Blackwood

Salary: £28,000 + Weekly Shift Allowance

Total Earnings: £32,303 per annum

Shifts: Monday to Friday, afternoons every 3rd week

Bluearrow is currently recruiting for a full-time Spray Painter on behalf of our well-established client based in the Blackwood area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in aircraft spraying or automotive accident repair, particularly where extensive surface preparation and high-class finishes are required.

Responsibilities
  • Spray paint components using HVLP and air-assisted systems
  • Carry out SMART repairs and cosmetic blow-ins
  • Sand and refinish exterior body panels and interiors to OEM specifications
  • Mix paints according to TDS and application requirements (e.g., 2K, basecoat, topcoat)
  • Calculate mix ratios for sealants, fillers, and paints
  • Apply primer, topcoat, and sprayed coatings to aircraft parts
  • Perform straight masking and minor filling operations
  • Prepare surfaces prior to paint application (rubbing down, sanding, etc.)
