Structural Steelwork Paint Sprayer

Location: Droitwich

Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour (DOE) + overtime

Hours: 40 hours per week + regular overtime (early/late starts)

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Start Date: Immediate

About the Role

A well-established structural steel fabrication company is looking to recruit an experienced Paint Sprayer to join its production team. You will be responsible for finishing fabricated steelwork components to a high standard using in-house spray-painting and shot‑blasting facilities. This is a hands‑on position working in a modern facility equipped with advanced fabrication machinery and overhead cranes.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply protective and decorative coatings to structural steelwork according to job specifications
• Safely operate 5‑tonne overhead cranes to move steel items for coating and dispatch
• Prepare steel surfaces using shot‑blasting, masking, and degreasing techniques
• Conduct quality checks to ensure full coverage, correct finish, and specification compliance
• Assist with early morning and late afternoon loading of articulated lorries when required
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organised work environment
• Adhere to all company health & safety and quality procedures

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience in steelwork or industrial paint spraying
• Confident and competent in using overhead cranes (5‑tonne)
• Physically fit and comfortable handling large steel structures
• Flexible with working hours and open to overtime, including early or late shifts
• Detail‑oriented and committed to safe working practices

Pay & Benefits

• Standard working week: 40 hours
• Overtime paid at flat rate up to 45 hours, then time and a half
• Pay review after 3‑month probation period
• Overtime potential: up to £18.75 per hour
