Are you an experienced Paint Sprayer or similar, looking for a foreman or supervisory role within a historic and successful engineering company supplying to the Oil & Gas and Renewables sectors? Are you comfortable working in a heavy industrial environment where you can have a big impact on improving processes and standards across the business?

On offer is an opportunity for a Paint Shop Foreman which would suit an enthusiastic individual demonstrating the ability to plan, manage and operate paint shop work to the highest standards in an industrial environment. You will oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the paint shop, ensuring components are refurbished, finished, and presented to a high standard. You will manage workflow, employees, and quality checks, while keeping the area safe, tidy, and productive. The role requires someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to motivate a small team.

The Role
  • Manage paint and costing production schedule and staff
  • Ensure all equipment is calibrated and identified accordingly
  • Mix paints, lubricants and varnishes to customer specifications and internal procedures (SOP)
  • Inspect own and operators quality of work, verify paint film thickness and conduct tape tests following the quality management system and SOP
  • Complete all relevant documentation in line with the SOP/work instruction requirements
  • Prepare and paint a variety of bespoke parts to client specification
  • Follow planning cards to adhere to internal and legal regulations
