Paint Shop Supervisor (NACE / AMPP)

Are you an experienced Paint Sprayer or similar, looking for a foreman or supervisory role within an historic and successful engineering company supplying to the Oil & Gas and Renewables sectors?

Are you comfortable working in a heavy industrial environment where you can have a big impact on improving processes and standards across the business?

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the paint shop, ensuring components are refurbished, finished, and presented to a high standard.
  • Manage workflow, employees, and quality checks, while keeping the area safe, tidy, and productive.
  • Manage paint and costing production schedule and staff.
  • Ensure all equipment is calibrated and identified accordingly.
  • Mix paints, lubricants and varnishes to customer specifications and internal SOPs.
  • Inspect own and operators' quality of work, verify paint film thickness and conduct tape tests following the quality management system and SOPs.
  • Complete all relevant documentation in line with SOP/work instruction requirements.
  • Prepare and paint a variety of bespoke parts to client specification.
  • Follow planning cards to adhere to internal and legal regulations.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • NACE/AMPP Level 1 qualification (or equivalent).
