Paint Shop Operative - Day Shift

A well-established manufacturing facility is seeking a reliable and motivated Paint Shop Operative to join its fabrication team on the day shift. This is a hands‑on role preparing metal components for powder coating, working to high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency across all fabrication and production stages.

Who This Job Would Suit

This role is ideal for someone with previous experience in a fabrication or production environment, who enjoys practical work and takes pride in delivering high‑quality results. It would also suit a trainee or semi‑skilled operative looking to build a long‑term career in manufacturing, with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and sand metal parts and cabinets for powder coating using hand tools
  • Operate Phoswash system, ovens, and manage loading/unloading of sprayed items
  • Mask, bung, and hang parts according to work schedules and job specifications
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety, housekeeping, and product quality
  • Contribute to team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
