Job summary

A leading aerospace metal finishing company is seeking a quality control inspector for its paint department. You will inspect painted surfaces for defects, conduct visual and dimensional inspections, and measure coating thickness while maintaining calibration of equipment.

Record inspection results and raise NCRs as needed, liaise with other departments, and carry out audits. Previous experience in paint or surface finishing with attention to detail and good communication is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality control within paint or surface finishing environments preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills required.
• Solid understanding of surface finishing processes beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Inspect painted surfaces for defects.

Job description

Our client a leading aerospace metal finishing company are looking for a quality control inspector for their paint department.

Main duties for the job are to ensure all paint finishes are to customer specifications and company standards.

The work involves:

Inspecting painted surfaces for defects>

Conducting visual and dimensional inspections.

Measuring coating thicknesses, and regular checks and calibration of equipment.

Recording of inspection results.

Raise any NCR's.

Liaising with other departments.

Carry out audits.

Previous experience in a paint or similar environment is advantageous with a solid understanding of of surface finishing processes, with a strong attention to detail and good communication skills.

This is a temp to perm position.
