Blue Arrow is recruiting Paint Preparation Operatives for a growing manufacturing company. Initially based at the Raynesway site in Derby, this hands-on role involves sanding and finishing surfaces, preparing products for painting, and supporting production while maintaining high quality standards.

The role relocates to Ilkeston within a few weeks. Ideal candidates have experience with sanders and abrasive tools, a practical, independent yet team-oriented approach, and a reliable, detail-focused

Qualifications

• Experience using sanders, abrasive tools, or similar equipment.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, automotive, workshop, or production environments.
• Good attention to detail.

• Prepare products and components for painting.

Job description

Location: Raynesway, Derby (relocating to Ilkeston within the next few weeks)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm

Pay Rate: £12.75 per hour (£13.00 per hour for candidates with relevant experience)

We are currently recruiting Paint Preparation Operatives for a well-established manufacturing company that is experiencing continued growth. Initially based at their Raynesway site in Derby, the position will move to a new facility in Ilkeston within the coming weeks.

This is a hands‑on role that would suit candidates with experience in manufacturing, engineering, automotive, workshop, or production environments. Experience using sanders, abrasive tools, sandpaper, or similar equipment would be advantageous.

The Role

• Preparing products and components ready for painting
• Sanding and finishing surfaces to the required standard
• Using abrasive tools and equipment safely and effectively
• Carrying out visual quality checks
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area
• Supporting production activities while ensuring high quality standards are met
