Job summary

Stagecoach Swindon is offering an apprenticeship to become a PCV bus driver. You will train while you earn, gaining your PCV licence through a Level 2 Bus Driver Apprenticeship, with funded training and structured development.

Based at Swindon depot, you’ll learn on a 6–8 week training period at £16.20 per hour, then move to a role earning £33,000+ per year for 39 hours weekly, with rotating shifts including weekends and bank holidays. No prior driving experience is required.

Qualifications

• Willingness to train for a PCV licence as part of the Level 2 Bus Driver Apprenticeship.
• No prior driving experience is required; candidates will be trained on the job.
• Great attitude to learning and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Complete industry-leading training to obtain PCV licence and CPC qualifications.
• Drive our fleet safely and confidently to ensure a great customer journey.
• Deliver high-quality customer service and assist passengers at all times.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers, with focus on safety and care.
• Work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
