Our workplace is driven by passion, shaped by authenticity and powered by creativity. We back bold ideas, act with an entrepreneurial mindset and continually evolve to meet the moment - while respecting the legacy that's brought us here. We believe in each other's potential and push boundaries together to create meaningful impact, both across the media landscape and in people's lives.

We're proud of our heritage - but even more excited about making history.

Hearst UK operates an in-office policy with flexible Fridays. Our office is based at House of Hearst, 30 Panton Street, St James's, London, SW1Y 4AJ, where teams collaborate in person and connect across brands and functions.

Salary – Circa £40,000 - Salary is dependent on experience and will be assessed in line with the candidate’s skills, knowledge, and relevant expertise.

The Role…

The Paid Media Manager will plan, manage and optimise paid media campaigns across Hearst’s portfolio of global magazine titles, supporting branded content partnerships on social and affiliate activity on paid search.

Working across both channels, you’ll translate briefs and commercial objectives into effective campaigns, manage budgets and performance, and communicate results clearly to stakeholders.

You’ll manage day-to-day activity independently, using your experience across platforms including Meta, Google Ads and TikTok to deliver against campaign and revenue targets.

Main Duties…
  • Manage the planning, set-up, quality, launch and delivery of paid social and search campaigns, ensuring campaign setup is accurate, on schedule and in line with the brief.
  • Build and optimise campaigns across Meta, TikTok and Google Ads, selecting appropriate audiences, keywords, placements, formats and campaign strategies.
  • Manage Google Ads campaigns using automated bidding strategies, and monitor performance against agreed return and revenue targets.
  • Manage campaign budgets and pacing, monitor spend against affiliate revenue, and flag performance risks early.
  • Analyse campaign results against agreed KPIs, identify opportunities and make data-led optimisations.
  • Prepare accurate reports and presentations, turning performance data into clear findings and recommendations for future campaigns.
  • Write and refine paid media copy, including headlines and ad text, ensuring it meets the brief, brand requirements and platform specifications.
  • Keep up to date with platform and product developments, sharing relevant updates and contributing to improvements in team processes.
What We Are Looking For…
  • Around two years’ hands-on experience in paid media, with experience across both paid social and paid search.
  • Practical experience managing campaigns on platforms such as Meta and Google Ads; TikTok and YouTube experience is also valuable.
  • Experience using Google Ads automated bidding strategies, including tROAS / tCPA.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to use campaign data to make and explain optimisation decisions.
  • Strong writing skills, including the ability to write or adapt ad copy and produce clear, polished presentations and reports.
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; familiarity with GA4 and other measurement tools.
  • Highly organised, accurate and able to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines.
  • Proactive and comfortable taking ownership of day-to-day work, while collaborating with colleagues and escalating issues appropriately.
