We’re Sleeping Giant Media, a multi‑award‑winning digital marketing agency on a mission to make digital better. From Folkestone to Europe, we help businesses grow through smart strategy, creative thinking and genuine partnership.

We’re looking for Paid Freelancers to join our growing team. As a certified B Corporation, we’re proud to be part of a global community of businesses committed to balancing profit with purpose. Our workplace is grounded in equity, transparency and impact, where doing good and doing great go hand in hand.

We believe in flexible working, diverse voices, and giving people the space to thrive. If you’re someone who loves learning, tackling new challenges, and being part of something meaningful, we think you’ll fit right in.

About The Role

ROLE: Paid Specialist Freelance

DEPARTMENT: Client Delivery - Paid Team

RIGHT TO WORK: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK, as we are unable to provide visa sponsorship.

NO RECRUITMENT AGENCIES: Please note that we are not seeking assistance from recruitment agencies for this role. We have established relationships with selected partners and will reach out to them directly if support is needed.

DURATION: Freelance/Casual/Project‑based.

PACKAGE: Competitive pay per project/day.

We’re proud to be B‑Corp certified and a Real Living Wage employer.

The Role

We’re looking for experienced Paid Search and Paid Social freelancers to support our client campaigns across multiple platforms. You’ll work closely with our internal Paid Media team to deliver smart, effective paid strategies that drive results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing and optimising client campaigns across Google, Meta, Microsoft and LinkedIn.
  • Conducting keyword and audience research to identify growth opportunities.
  • Writing and testing ad copy, and optimising landing pages.
  • Monitoring performance and delivering insights with recommendations.
  • Running A/B tests and contributing to campaign strategy.
  • Staying ahead of digital trends and platform updates.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to align paid activity with overall marketing goals.
The Person

A curious, results‑driven person with great attention to detail and a passion for delivering the best. You combine analytical thinking with creative problem‑solving to make paid campaigns perform at their best. You’re proactive, collaborative, and love turning insight into action.

  • Proven experience managing PPC campaigns with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding KPIs.
  • Deep understanding of Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta Ads, and other PPC platforms.
  • Experience with programmatic platforms and/or Search Ads 360/Stackadapt or similar.
  • Proficiency in keyword and audience research, using tools like Google Keyword Planner, Ahrefs, or similar an advantage.
  • Google Ads and Google Analytics certification.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into clear, actionable strategies.
  • Excellent organisation and time‑management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities effectively.
  • A collaborative mindset — confident working with cross‑functional teams, yet equally comfortable operating independently.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts clearly to clients and colleagues.
  • A proactive, solution‑oriented approach to challenges and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of hands‑on experience managing PPC campaigns for a wide variety of businesses.
  • Experience working in both Paid Search and Paid Social is ideal.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and optimise campaign performance.
  • Freelance, independent contractor status with the ability to work remotely.
Desired Criteria
  • Agency experience and familiarity with agency‑side operations.
  • Evidenced passion for working in the digital marketing industry essential.
  • Informal or formal qualifications preferred, but not necessary.
AI & Innovation

We’re committed to embracing innovation and evolving with the digital landscape and that includes the smart use of AI. We see AI as a tool to enhance our work, not replace it. Whether it’s streamlining processes, uncovering insights, or supporting creativity, we’re always exploring how AI can help us deliver smarter, more effective results for our clients. You don’t need to be an AI expert – we encourage you to bring your curiosity, whether it’s testing a new tool or finding smarter ways to optimise campaigns.

Other Information
  • Please note that applicants must have the right to work in the UK, as we are unable to provide visa sponsorship.
  • We do not ask about criminal convictions during our recruitment process. We believe in fair access to employment for everyone.
  • We are committed to creating an inclusive and accessible recruitment process. If you need reasonable adjustments or specific support during the recruitment process, or once in the role, we’ll do everything we can to accommodate your needs.
  • Our interview process will involve getting in touch with you over email – never WhatsApp. And we will never ask for any payment or payment information from you. If in doubt, just get in touch!
  • If you're not sure you're 100% qualified but are excited about the role, apply anyway. We value potential and passion just as much as experience.

If you need to discuss any adjustments, get in touch at jobs@sleepinggiantmedia.co.uk.
