Are you an English graduate looking to gain invaluable hands‑on classroom experience before embarking on your teacher training? What the role offers

• A unique opportunity to support KS3‑KS5 English students in and out of class while developing your teaching practice alongside 'Outstanding' qualified English teachers.
• Run small, targeted interventions in groups and 1:1 for students who are struggling academically.
• Run booster sessions for students inside and outside of the classroom.
• Support subject teachers across different subjects (humanities only) and support students' academic development.
• Opportunity to train as an English Teacher (Schools Direct) – commencing September 2025, gaining a year’s invaluable classroom experience PAID prior to teacher training.

Responsibilities

• Support KS3‑KS5 English students both in and out of class.
• Run small, targeted interventions and 1:1 sessions for students who need additional academic support.
• Run booster sessions for students inside and outside of the classroom.
• Support humanities subjects and assist with students' academic development.
• Collaborate with qualified English teachers to improve teaching practice.

Qualifications

• First Class or 2:1 Degree from a reputable university (relevant degree).
• Aspiring Secondary Teacher.
• Willingness to go above and beyond daily for pupils.
• Confidence and strong communication skills.
• Team player mindset.
