Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust invites applicants to the Aspiring Clinical Psychology Programme, providing paid clinical experience for graduates aiming to train as Clinical Psychologists. The post supports psychological care within CYPMHS The Bay, across Lancaster & Morecambe CAMHS / CPS and South Cumbria CAMHS, with weekly supervision and a broad clinical/research foundation.

The role includes assessment and manualised interventions, plus involvement in audit and research

Responsibilities

• To support the professional and psychological care of clients within the service; providing psychological assessment and manualised psychological interventions.
• To assist in the implementation of audit and research projects, such as outcome measure research, across the Service. To assist in the administration and interpretation of research related measures, collation and recording of statistics and production of relevant reports.
• All work and actions take place under the management and supervision of practitioner psychology staff according to an agreed plan and associated goals within parameters set out by departmental policies and procedures.
• Formal supervision with a named member of practitioner psychology staff to take place on a weekly basis, with regular opportunities for informal contact for guidance and advice.
