Qualifications

• Experience of paediatric ophthalmology, strabismus or neuro-ophthalmology.
• Completed Higher Specialist Training in ophthalmology.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality care to patients in outpatient clinics.
• Maintain GMC specialist registration and ensure adherence to clinical guidelines.
• Participate in clinical audit and ensure patient involvement in care decisions.

Skills

High degree of clinical skill in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus

Audit & research

Teaching & presentation skills

Education

FRCOphth or MRCP or equivalent

CCT in Ophthalmology or equivalent ophthalmic training

Full GMC Registration (with a 'Licence to Practise')

Higher Degree (e.g. MD or PhD)
