Job summary

The Band 5 Paediatric Staff Nurse role at Macclesfield District General Hospital, East Cheshire NHS Trust, involves delivering holistic, family-centred care to children within a busy unit. You will work with the multidisciplinary team and may take charge of the ward when senior staff are away.

Rotational opportunities include weekends, nights and bank holidays; 37.5 hours per week. An enhanced DBS and NMC child registration are required. Sponsorship is not available for non-UK residents.

Qualifications

• NMC Child registration is required.
• Recent acute or relevant clinical experience, including placements.
• Understanding of the NMC Code, safeguarding and consent.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care with documentation.
• Clear verbal and written communication and relationships.
• Teamwork, delegated responsibility and professional boundaries.
• Prioritise time in busy clinical settings and use digital systems confidently.
• Compassion, reliability and person-centred care.
