Job summary

Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Paediatric Staff Nurse for the Nightingale Children's Ward and the Paediatric Assessment Unit. You will provide hands-on care for children from six hours to 16 years, within a supportive multidisciplinary team on a general paediatric ward.

Open to experienced acute paediatric nurses, student nurses, or newly registered staff, the role requires NMC registration and a clear commitment to safeguarding and high-quality paediatric care.

Qualifications

• RSCN qualification, or RN with acute health experience of working with children
• NMC registration
• Experience with children in healthcare setting
• Understanding safeguarding principles
• Experience with children with additional, complex or chronic health care needs

Job description

This Paediatric Staff Nurse post sits on Nightingale Children's Ward and the new Paediatric Assessment Unit at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The work is hands-on care for allocated children aged from six hours to 16 years, alongside a multidisciplinary team on a general paediatric ward. It is open to experienced acute staff nurses as well as student or recently registered paediatric nurses, and needs an RSCN or RN with acute health experience of children.
