Job summary

St. George's University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist with relevant post-qualification experience, including autism or DLD populations, and experience with children with SEND in educational or multidisciplinary settings.

The role involves completing assessments and developing intervention plans, working within a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to service provision. HCPC registration is required; RCST membership is desirable.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Speech and Language therapy.
• HCPC registration.
• Evidence of specialist short courses (desirable).
• Registered Member of Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists (desirable).
• Well established knowledge of assessment tools relevant to the client group.
• A working knowledge of national policies and procedures relevant to the client group.
• Knowledge of appropriate therapeutic interventions relevant to the client group.
• Knowledge of a wide range of AAC aids for this client group.
• Understanding the roles of other professionals relevant to the client group.
• Effective communication, monitoring, analysis and adaptation of interactions and responses within the assessment and therapeutic process.
