NHS Sutton is seeking 3 Band 6 Speech and Language Therapists to join a friendly Children’s SLT team on a fixed-term 5-month basis. You will manage paediatric caseloads, deliver assessments and therapy, and write reports while working with families and a multidisciplinary team.

The role offers clinical supervision, peer support and a collaborative environment with opportunities to improve access to assessment and intervention for children. Fixed-term until 31 March 2027.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy.
• Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
• Postgraduate dysphagia training at foundation level and working towards Proficient level.

Responsabilités

• To independently manage a caseload of children with speech, language and communication needs.
• To assess, diagnose and provide evidence-based intervention for children presenting with a range of communication difficulties.
• To deliver individual and group therapy programmes as appropriate.
• To develop and implement clear and effective care plans based on assessment findings.
• To provide written reports, recommendations and therapy targets in accordance with professional and local standards.
• To monitor, review and evaluate intervention using appropriate outcome measures.
• To provide advice, support and training to parents, carers, educational staff and other professionals.
• To communicate complex clinical information in a clear and sensitive manner.
• To work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to support positive outcomes for children and families.
• To maintain accurate, timely and legally compliant clinical records.
