Job summary

East London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to join our growing children’s team. You may work across Early Years, schools, and complex needs, with a varied caseload and opportunities to contribute to universal, targeted and specialist support.

You will participate in clinic and school settings, deliver parent workshops, and collaborate with families and staff to improve outcomes for children and young people. A strong emphasis on training and CPD is included.

Qualifications

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree or postgraduate equivalent.
• HCPC Licence to Practise and RCST registration.
• Relevant experience at undergraduate/postgraduate level.
• Strong communication, planning and collaboration skills.

Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a newly qualifying or an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our growing children's speech and language therapy team.

Main duties of the job

We have opportunities to work across the service including Early Years, mainstream schools and complex needs. Your role will involve working across no more than two parts of the service. Sessions will be allocated depending on experience and interest.

Within the Schools Team, the caseload is varied, split between delivering a core service and a buy in service into the schools. There are opportunities within pre-school, primary and secondary settings where we work in close partnership with school staff to provide a 3 tier model of universal, targeted and specialist support for children, young people and their families. Training for school staff and families is a crucial part of the service we deliver.

Within the Early Years service you will be seeing children within clinics and nurseries. We deliver 1-1 dynamic assessments/ intervention and provide parent workshops and groups in our Family hubs and Children's centres.

Within the complex needs service you will be working with children and families in a clinic setting and/or in a specialist resource or special school setting.

Education/ Qualification

Essential

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree/Post graduate degree Qualification or equivalent
• Health Professions Council - Licence to Practise
• Registered Member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
• Relevant experience at undergraduate/post graduate level
