Job description

Responsibilities

• To provide, as an autonomous practitioner, assessment, diagnosis and evidence-based treatment for service users within a specialist area and to liaise with and refer on to other health, education and social care providers as appropriate.
• To work as a member of the community service within early years and/or specialist education settings, including, contributing to their development.
• To provide multidisciplinary functions within the post holders sphere of competence to service users across these and mainstream education settings.
• To develop the post holders' own professional practice by keeping up to date with clinical developments and responding to available evidence.
• To provide specialist advice, education and training in the specialist area., The Children's SLT team work closely within Children's Therapy Services with the Child Development Centres and Community Paediatrics, and also provide in reaching services to the local acute wards

There are strong relationships across the Children's and Families service delivery group with all teams.
