Job summary

The Paediatric Therapies Team in Richmond is seeking a part-time Band 6 speech and language therapist to cover maternity leave for 12 months. The post focuses on assessing and treating children with diverse speech, language and communication needs across early years, mainstream and special schools.

The role also includes training, resource development, service design, audit and outreach beyond the caseload, with regular supervision and access to specialist outreach.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as a speech and language therapist.
• Membership of the RCSLT.
• Experience carrying out specialist assessments and interventions in paediatric settings.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat children and young people with speech, language and communication needs across early years, mainstream and special schools.
• Contribute to training, resource development, service design, and audit.
• Carry out outreach and regular supervision and support service development.
