Job summary

Globe Locums is recruiting a Band 7 Locum Speech and Language Therapist to support children and young people with SEND in North East London. This on-site role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based at Wood Street Health Centre, Walthamstow.

The successful candidate will provide specialist SLT advice to education panels, present assessments, advise on placements, and train school staff to improve inclusion and participation. DBS/Police check and HCPC registration are required.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration and eligible to work in the UK.
• Experience delivering assessments, interventions and reviews in education settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist SLT advice to Education Inclusion Panels, SEND Panels and multidisciplinary meetings.
• Present assessments and advise on placement, provision, outreach and targeted interventions.
• Support mainstream settings to reduce barriers to learning and improve attendance, engagement and participation.
• Train and coach school staff, SENCOs, teaching assistants and parents/carers.
• Contribute to service evaluation and reporting against local SEND priorities.
