Job description

Are you an experienced Band 5 Registered Children's Nurse or an existing Band 6 RCN looking for a challenge? Warwick Emergency Department children’s area is a busy, challenging and rewarding area to work within.

Responsibilities

• Co‑ordinate and provide skilled nursing (without direct supervision) to paediatric patients, in accordance with responsibilities under the NMC Code of Conduct.
• Effectively take responsibility for the overall management of the paediatric department, maintaining patient care and patient flows in accordance with performance targets.
• Escalate delays in the delivery of care and management of patients, in accordance with Trust Escalation Procedures, to meet National Performance Targets.
• Prioritise care needs, ensuring the delivery of a quality service through effective leadership and efficient deployment of available resources.
• Contribute to the continued development of nursing, including the supervision of junior nurses and support staff.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise and be an effective role model.

We are looking for staff who are motivated, enthusiastic and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to work within the fast‑paced environment of Emergency Medicine. An opportunity has arisen for a band 6 RSCN or dual qualified children’s nurses to join our friendly team within the Emergency Department. We have an excellent team of health care professionals dedicated to children’s Emergency Care provision and we currently have vacancies for Paediatric Nurses within the Children’s area of the Emergency Department.
