Job summary

A healthcare trust in Chesterfield seeks a Paediatric Physician Assistant to support the Child Health department. Qualifications

• Proven ability to exercise sound judgement when faced with conflicting pressures.
• Previous experience working with children.
• Knowledge of Clinical Governance.

Responsibilities

• Support the Child Health department in delivering high standards of care.
• Work with other Physician Assistants, doctors, and nurses.
• Participate in a 1:5 on-call rota.

Skills

Ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively

Verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work as part of a team effectively

Caring attitude towards patients and parents/carers

Knowledge of how to manage basic paediatric conditions

Education

Degree at 2:2 level or above

PG Dip in Physician Associate Studies from a UK PA programme

Current and valid certification or re-certification by the UK PA National Examination

CPR (BLS)
