Job summary

Community Case Management Services Limited is seeking an experienced Paediatric Healthcare Assistant to join a dedicated team supporting a 6-year-old girl with complex medical needs. You will provide safe, high-quality care to maximise wellbeing and safety while fostering development and meaningful activity.

Working under the nurse on shift and with the family, case manager and wider care team, you will assist with daily living tasks, personal care, moving and handling, meals and communication,

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children with complex medical needs, ideally in a home or community care setting.
• Ability to work under supervision and in a team.
• Full driving licence and, with prior agreement, willingness to drive the WAV if required.
• Confident using IT for documentation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality support with all aspects of daily living, including personal care, moving and handling, meal preparation, and engagement in meaningful activities that support the client’s development, comfort and emotional wellbeing.
• You will take the lead in ensuring the client has opportunities for meaningful occupation, play, social interaction and fun throughout the day, while following the clinical direction of the nurse on shift.

We are looking for a n experienced Paediatric H ealthcare A ssistant to join a dedicated tea m supporting our client, a 6-year-old girl with complex medical needs , to provide safe, high-quality care that enables her to lead as fulfilling life as possible, maximising her physical and psychological wellbeing and safety at all times.

You will work under the direct supervision of the nurse accompanying you on shift, the Nurse Clinical Lead and in partnership with the family, case manager and wider care team.

The role involves providing high-quality support with all aspects of daily living, including personal care, moving and handling, meal preparation, and engagement in meaningful activities that support the client’s development, comfort and emotional wellbeing. You will take the lead in ensuring the client has opportunities for meaningful occupation, play, social interaction and fun throughout the day , while always following the clinical direction of the nurse on shift.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children with complex medical needs, ideal ly wit hin a home or community care setting.
• Ability to work under supervision and in a team
• A full driving licence and, with prior agreement, be willing to drive the wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV ) if required .
• Must be confident using IT for documentation and communication.

Working Hours

36 hour s per week

Rates of Pay

Weekdays: £17.00 per hour

Bank Holidays: 1.5 times the hourly rate

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult Workforce with Barring. Full training will be provided.
